Walker Evans

One of my favorite photographers would have to be Walker Evans. He was a photojournalist in the Great Depression with the task of documenting small town America as it really was. I enjoy his photos because they all have a raw emotional feel to them, and because he left the scene just as he found it (no fancy equipment, no repositioning, often no flash) catching things exactly as he saw them.
